It is kind of a long and winding road friends, supporters and listeners. Shema Internet Radio is a prophetic Word and command that has literally come to pass! What on earth do we mean? Let us explain.
Over 30 years ago, YHUH put it on the heart of Apostle Moshe Yoseph Koniuchowsky, a New York Jewish evangelist, who relocated to Florida in 1989, to purchase and run the English speaking world’s first and only full time “Messianic Jewish” radio station. This was back in the day, when the only radio stations that were listened to by Torah keeping believers, were either AM or FM public radio ones. Regardless of that reality, YHUH spoke to the Apostle's heart, that he was to purchase, own and operate, a radio station.
In obedience to the heavenly call, he began to work the phones and call around, to see which AM or FM station he was to purchase and turn it from a Christian programming format, to a Torah observant Messiah honoring format. The response of course, in most cases, was that the station was not for sale. And nor would it ever be for sale, due to the strong Christian financial backing of the ownership of those stations. Now mind you, we are talking about the years between 1984 and let's say 1994. Other common responses to our search were that perhaps the owners would sell the station to Sholiach-Apostle Koniuchowsky, but they had to first talk to the owners. In most of those cases, no one ever got back to us. So perhaps those things were never even discussed. A few stations did offer to consider selling, and prices were so expensive, ranging from $300,000 to half a million dollars. Apostle and his family were and are working people, and certainly could not afford to purchase anything close to half a million or $1,000,000.
So the Word from YHUH that came to Moshe, sadly had to be put on the shelf, laying dormant, awaiting some way and means, by which YHUH would make a way, where there seemed to be absolutely no way. To this day, there are no finances of that amount in the ministries of Your Arms of Love to Israel Congregation, or The Restoration Scriptures True Name Editions.
Over the next 30 plus years, the Word and the vision that came were completely forgotten, and shelved, as we moved on to other areas of ministry work. It appeared that all the Christian radio stations would continue to be owned by Christians, who would continue to implement Christian only antinomian [anti Torah] programming. It seemed like we would never own a full time Natsarim, Messianic, Messiah honoring radio station of any kind, AM or FM and the programming that we were told to produce.
But Yahuah knew that His Word would never return void, and would somehow come to pass, and in approximately 2011, the viable concept of owning an internet online radio station became possible for many folks, for a reasonable set up fee. What had previously been impossible, all of a sudden, like almost overnight, became not only possible, but became answered prayer and a Word from our Father in heaven, waiting to be fulfilled. Additionally, more and more people from around the world, by the hundreds of millions, were shifting their AM and FM radio listening habits to online content. A vehicle that today sees about 4 billion people online in some form, who tune in mostly to internet content, for anything and everything, from news, to sports, to online grocery shopping and medical care. The times had changed to the point that owning a full time radio station was a possibility and a possible dream that could come true!
Starting in 2011, we ran an internet radio station and shortly thereafter we continued to operate it but we're not able to focus on it full time. Eventually it stopped operating. Neither did we recall or realize at that time, the prophetic fulfillment of that order that YHUH had given to us so many years ago. We totally forgot it and let the station fade away!
But the calling continued to stir in our hearts, and continued to be planted there, even after our first attempt to oversee and run an online radio station. Keep in mind, today online radio stations are quite common. And nowhere near $1 million to operate. They are highly practical, affordable, and relatively easy to run, with limited shekels. So the internet radio option was obviously the way that our Father in heaven was going to bring His orders and His will to pass. In about 2020, after relocating to North Florida in 2011, we launched SHEMA Internet Radio online. Even as we speak, we are in the process of implementing new programming from a totally True Name, Hebraic, Torah keeping, Messiah honoring, perspective. We remain the only totally True kadosh-set apart Name radio outlet of any kind with awesome programming and even live Shabbat services!
Looking back, SHEMA Internet Radio, was the literal fulfillment of the Word of YHUH, that He had spoken to Apostle Moshe, those many years ago. Shema means to hear, and do, and we recalled His Word just recently in March of 2025, and were hearing that clear call again and were ready to perform it as well!
Only today in the year 2025 did that same Spirit, the same Set Apart Spirit, remind us of the original command of our Messiah, to own and to operate a full time, 24 hour, seven day a week, True Name only, Messianic or Natsarim full time radio station. Not only to operate it but to own it. Our Father in heaven reminded us of this command that He gave us, so many years ago, that has only now fully come to pass. This once again shows us and reminds us that our Messiah is a promise keeper, and His Word is sure, secure, and true.
We encourage all our friends, listeners and supporters, to enjoy the fruit of the Word of YHUH. that has literally come to pass in our lifetime and that was literally impossible, just 40 years ago, when there was no such thing as the internet, or the early stages of the internet, where there was no such thing as owning an online radio station.
